Meet Jon Morse

Jon Morse is a practicing attorney, specializing in aviation matters.  For more than 42 years, Mr. Morse has represented pilots, mechanics, airports, aircraft manufacturers, parts manufacturers, and insurers in cases involving aircraft accidents.  He has also handled non-aviation matters for both plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Morse graduated from Princeton University in 1966, receiving his BSE degree with honors.  After 3 ½ years as a flight test engineer on the F4 program with McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft, he worked as a high school teacher (teaching Physics, Math, and Aviation Science) and as a flight instructor and a charter pilot before attending law school.  He received his JD cum laude from the University of Michigan, then moved to California to commence his career as an attorney.  He and his wife have four children and two grandchildren.

In addition to his legal work, Mr. Morse has maintained a strong interest in public service and education. He is a long time member and past president of the Westlake Village Sunrise Rotary Club.  In 2013, he created and led a book drive for a charter school in Watts, which was preparing students for college but did not have a library.  Though this book drive, the Rotary Club donated approximately 10,000 books.  Thereafter, Mr. Morse coordinated with Sheridan Rosenberg, then a member of the Goleta Rotary Club and that club donated bookshelves for the books.
